Title:
Are There Alternatives to Nursing Homes or Assisted Living?
Description:
Many people believe that a nursing home is their only option when long term care becomes necessary, when in actuality, there are many alternatives depending upon the level of care needed. A nursing home may be the best choice for the medically fragile, however many seniors may be able to choose from other options. People do have the right to choose, but need to consider their present and future needs and their budget. Dr. Larry Minnix, President and CEO of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging will enlighten us as to alternatives available today for seniors. He’ll discuss the future trends for senior care other than institutional care, which includes home care and home-based technology, community-based services, PACE Programs, CCRC’s, Board and Care Homes, to name a few. Join us - this is information everybody needs to know, if not for themselves, but for a family member or loved one. Know the options!
